With the rapid advancements in modern technology, monitors are becoming increasingly widespread. Their waterproof performance is particularly crucial when applied across various industries. In addition, the waterproof characteristics have been enhanced, and IP67 is one of the currently recognized protection ratings, meaning the device has exceptional waterproof capabilities. AMONGO has now launched an IP67 waterproof monitor, which has already secured a place in the market.

What Is the IP67 Protection Rating?

The "IP" in IP67 stands for "Ingress Protection Rating." The digit "6" represents the dust resistance level, and "7" indicates the waterproof level:

  • Dust resistance level 6: Completely prevents dust from entering the device, ensuring the camera functions normally even under extreme conditions like sandstorms.

  • Waterproof level 7: Short-term immersion in water won't harm the device, meaning the camera can be submerged in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes at normal temperature and pressure without damage.

Standards for AMONGO IP67 Waterproof Monitor

The testing for the IP67 protection rating primarily follows the following international and national standards:

  • IEC Standard: IEC 60529:1989 + A1:1999 + A2:2013 Degrees of protection provided by enclosures (IP Code)

  • EN Standard: EN 60529:1992 + A1:2000 + A2:2013 Degrees of protection provided by enclosures (IP Code)

  • GB Standard: GB/T 4208-2017 Degrees of protection provided by enclosures (IP Code)

The water level must be at least 0.15 meters above the top of the device.

The bottom of the device must be at least 1 meter deep under water.

  • Test duration: The immersion lasts for 30 minutes.

  • Test results: After the test, no water enters the device, and it functions normally.
